Sessions begin at 9:00 AM – attendees are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 AM

AGENDA

7:45 AM – 9:00 AM – Informal BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakfast). Time for a relaxed chat with fellow PST members, including President Holly Jahangiri and any other Board members who can join us for breakfast or coffee, just like we would at an in-person conference. All are welcome. We have a full day ahead, though, so don’t get ZBOB (Zoom Burnout Over Breakfast).

9:00 AM – 9:50 AM – “How to Get Published Without Really Trying” a workshop and interactive writing session led by Terry Jude Miller.

9:50 AM – 10:00 AM – Break

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM – Reading by Alan Gann, winner of the Wm D Barney Chapbook Contest

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM – Reading by Cade Huie, winner of the Catherine Case Lubbe Manuscript Contest

11:00 AM – 12:00 – Timothy Green / Katie Dozier Green of Rattle

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM – LUNCH BREAK

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM – “Solving the Ghazal Puzzle” led by Yolanda Wright -Curious about the ghazal but unsure where to begin? Join us for an engaging introduction to one of poetry’s most elegant and enduring forms. Through examples, discussion, and guided writing activities, participants will explore the ghazal’s rich history, distinctive structure, and surprising creative possibilities. No prior experience with the form is required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
